"The only thing I'll ever ask of you, you've got to promise not to stop when the festival curfew says when." No, the lyrics to one of Foo Fighters' biggest songs didn't change, but this new version of "Everlong" seemingly fits what happened at the Bottle Rock Festival over the weekend, when Foo Fighters had the plug pulled mid-song at the end of their performance.

The Bottle Rock Festival in Napa Valley has a strict 10PM curfew and apparently that went into effect perfectly at one of the breakdowns toward the end of the song. As you can see in the fan-shot footage above, Dave Grohl and his band are rocking along just fine at full volume and powering toward the breakdown in the song when at the 5:33 mark in the video above, the plug gets pulled.

Undeterred, Foo Fighters continued to play and the audience was quick to pick up on what had happened. Even with the plug pulled, you can still hear the band playing faintly in the background, enough for the audience to join in singing and clapping along on cue to finish out the song.

At present, Bottle Rock is the sole U.S. date for the band in 2017, though Foo Fighters do have plenty of festival performances and shows booked around the world. See all of their dates here. There has been talk of the band potentially starting on a new album this year, but nothing has been confirmed in terms of a timeline for the disc as of yet.
