Former Guns N’ Roses Guitarist Coming to Upstate Concert Hall
Buckethead will play Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park on April 5 at 8pm.
Known to wear a KFC bucket on his head with a orange sticker reading Funeral Buckethead played with Guns N’ Roses from 2000-2004 and recorded with the band on their Chinese Democracy album. He also appeared with the band at the MTV Video Music Awards and parts of the Chinese Democracy Tour. Buckethead left Guns N’ Roses in March 2004. He has received critical acclaim as a guitarist. Outside of his work with Guns N’ Roses, he has released 264 studio albums and has recorded with a variety of high-profile artists. He’s also written and recorded material for major motion pictures. Buckethead’s influences include Michael Jackson, Michael Schenker, Uli Jon Roth,Yngwie Malmsteen, Randy Rhoads, Mike Patton, Jimi Hendrix, Eddie Van Halen, and Angus Young among others. I got to see Buckethead perform with Guns N' Roses on the 2002 Chinese Democracy Tour in Albany and he is an amazing guitarist. Certainly an interesting character.
Tickets for Buckethead are on sale this Friday Jan. 19 at 10am through ticketweb.com and the Upstate Concert Hall box office at 518-371-0012.
