It's the time we've all been waiting for. Travers Weekend in Saratoga is upon us.

One of the best weekends across all of horse racing in North America, Travers Weekend brings some of racing's brightest stars to Saratoga for a chance to close the summer with sweet victory. Before we get to the actual running of the Travers Stakes, however, an exciting schedule awaits us on Friday. It's so exciting, in fact, that The Drive with Charlie & Dan will be live throughout it. Friday's 'New York Showcase Day' is as good as it gets for New York horse racing fans, pitting New York-bred horses against one another, showing off the incredible breeding operations that the state of New York boasts.

Friday will feature not one, not two, not even three, but SIX stakes races on the dirt and turf, with the ages of the horses all ranging. The crown-jewel event is the Albany, a race which runs 1 1/8 miles on the dirt, and features three-year olds. That race brings with it a purse of $250,000, while three races bring with it a purse of $200,000, and the two others carry a $150,000 payout. The Fleet Indian, Funny Cide and Seeking the Ante stakes will all take place on the dirt, while the West Point Stakes and the Yaddo Handicap will be on the turf.

Outside of a great day of racing, Saratoga Race Course will be packed to the brim with events, activities and deals for the whole family. Here's how the day will kick off, courtesy of the New York Racing Association:

In addition to that, the report also states that there will be a commemorative poster autograph session, deals on local craft beers, wine and liquor, and so much more! For those looking to give back, here's how you will be able to help out:

NYRA will host its annual food drive to benefit LifeWorks Community Action. Fans who donate at least three non-perishable items at the Community Outreach Booth will receive one free grandstand admission ticket for Wednesday, September 1 or Thursday, September 2.

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery. Keep reading to find out what the best beer is in each of the 50 states and Washington D.C.
