Goo Goo Dolls At SPAC Tonight: 6 Things To Know Before You Go!

One of the last in a long line of rescheduled COVID concerts, tonight Goo Goo Dolls finally take the stage at SPAC for their Miracle Pill Summer Tour! The Buffalo-natives' new album Chaos in Bloom just dropped last week, so expect a few new songs in with all your old favorites from the last three decades.

(Author's note: I checked some earlier setlists from the tour and found out they won't be playing my personal all-time favorite. I'm a little bitter, but I think I'll recover. Anyway, how was a song this good spawned by the Transformers movies?)

Can You Still Buy Tickets?

Yes! There are still lots of cheaper lawn tickets available, or if you want to be under cover you can snag some reasonably priced Orchestra seats that will get you up under the roof and out of the sun.

How Early Can You Get There?

SPAC's parking lot opens at 4p and gates open at 6p if you want to snag that perfect lawn or pit spot.

What's The Forecast?

Not like that. Today's going to feel more like August than it has all week, but at least it won't rain.  There may be a few clouds around, but expect mostly sun. Saratoga's temperature around showtime will be around 82 and by the end it will drop to around 70. You might want to consider bringing a jacket for the walk back to the parking lot.

Buying Water? In This Economy? Can I Bring A Drink With Me?

You can bring a water bottle, but it still has to be sealed when you pass through security. SPAC food policy also allows a clear gallon zip bag for snacks. They'll also sell food and drink onsite.

Can I Bring My Bag or Purse To SPAC?

Per venue policy:

To reduce staff contact with guest belongings, we have implemented the following bag policy: we will allow clear plastic, vinyl or PVC tote bags no larger than 12” x 6” x 12” and/or small clutch bags (4.5”x 6.5”). No other bags of any type will be allowed.

I'm On The Lawn. Can I Bring A Chair?

SPAC lets you bring a chair, as long as it fits their policy. It must be a collapsible camping chair that isn't taller than 43" when collapsed. You can't have any other attachments like canopies and footrests. They'll check your chair on entry and if it doesn't match policy, you'll have to leave it behind. You can also bring a small blanket to sit on.

Is There An Opening Act?

Goo Goo Dolls are currently touring with Blue October, an alternative band from Texas that started in the 90s. You may remember them from a few hits back in the 00s, like "Hate Me" and "Into the Ocean." Be there at 7p for some extra nostalgia! Have fun!
