Heading Out To Celebrate The Holidays In Downtown Albany? Uber Will Get You Home For Free

Albany just got a little safer again during the holiday season with The Holidays in Downtown Albany safe ride program. From today to January 2, 2022, patrons of downtown bars and restaurants can get a free ride home from Uber.  Local company DeCrescente Distributing Company has teamed up with the Downtown Albany Business Improvement District (BID), presenting the safe ride program, giving restaurant-goers and downtown visitors a free Uber voucher good for a ride up to $50 while supplies last. Vouchers are valid for one ride per user.

The safe ride program gives you the perfect opportunity to enjoy a night in downtown Albany, whether for a show, an office Christmas party, or even for New Year's Eve, knowing you will get home safe.

Previous programs, such as the Downtown Thank You Safe Ride, have provided over 89 free rides from November 24-28 of this year.

You will need to have an Uber account, but it is easy to use. For example, you can scan a QR code on posters and flyers that will be in restaurants and businesses in downtown Albany. You can redeem a voucher until 11:59 pm on January 2, 2022.

Free parking will be available in ParkAlbany garages on non-event evenings, allowing you to leave your car and take an Uber home.
