The Capital Region happens to be home to one of the best burger joints in Upstate New York. That location is Herbie's Burgers who has grown into an establishment that everyone loves, and they also happen to be open very late. I can tell you that I absolutely love going to Herbie's and getting a classic "The Herbie" hits the spot for me every single time.

Lark Street was the Herbie's I used to go to and I was very excited to learn that they were expanding their location to the all new Herbie's Clubhouse location, located at 258 Lark Street, the former Bombers Burritos location. Now this Lark Street institution is in a familiar spot with an all new look.

What's inside Herbie's Clubhouse?

Not only are you going to get the same Herbie's Burgers that you've come to expect, but this all new spot has a bar equipped with arcade games. Yes you read that correctly, arcade games.

Downstairs is where you find the restaurant that is cranking out those delicious burgers. Upstairs, where you must be 21 to enter, is the bar and arcade area. They had multiple games and pinball cabinets to choose from. I have to say, the Space Jam pinball was a nice touch. I also will never say no to some Mortal Kombat II. That is an absolute classic.

Last Friday night, August 21st, they officially opened up the all new Herbie's Clubhouse for us all to check out. I was fortunate enough to be able to head down there to see it in action. The smell of the burgers and fries cooking alone are enough to draw you in, but the electric lights of the arcade and the retro feel of the bar is magnetic. It is a nostalgia filled hangout for the kid inside of all of us. We're now just old enough to drink alcohol and also enjoy these things.

How many locations does Herbie's have?

Right now Herbie's has grown into quite the franchise. In total that have eight location around New York. While most of their locations are right here in the Capital Region (Albany, Schenectady, Saratoga, Guilderland, Troy) they have expanded their Herbie's footprint to New York City with a location in Brooklyn, NY.

I personally love this place and wish the good folks at Herbie's the best of luck with the new location and all of the locations they open in the future.
