Here Are Five Pumpkin Beers For You To Try Made Here in New York State
It's pumpkin beer season and if you want a taste a few that are created right here in the Empire State we've got a list!
Love it or hate it you are stuck with pumpkin beer. The only people louder than someone who enjoys the fall flavor is someone who hates it. I'm here to tell you to just get over it because if toy hate it you're in a minority at this point.
One of the best things about being in Upstate New York is the fact that we get the full fall treatment. Leaves changing, apple picking, pumpkin patches, corn mazes, we have it all. We also have a great selection of pumpkin beers that happen to be created here in New York.
While the Northeast is full of many amazing breweries, we have a really good amount of them here in New York that are cranking out some great pumpkin flavors. Some of them were even mentioned by listeners when asking them what their favorite pumpkin beers were.
1. Brown's Pumpkin Ale (Troy, NY)
2. Saranac Pumpkin Ale (Utica, NY)
3. Southern Tier Pumking (Lakewood, NY)
4. Ithaca Country Pumpkin (Ithaca, NY)
5. Brooklyn Post Road Pumpkin Ale (Brooklyn, NY)
I personally believe that these five are the five that I would go to the most for the New York style of pumpkin beer that I enjoy. If I wanted to venture outside of NYS I would venture the Shipyard Pumpkin Head. That's the first pumpkin beer I ever had and it holds a very special place in my heart.
