Please take a few  minutes out of your busy day to listen to the call Chrissy and I made to Sally Benoit telling her that she was the December Hometown Hero.

Sally and her amazing husband live about 90 minutes west of Albany but their story could inspire those nationwide. It's literally like a movie you'd see on the Hallmark Channel. It is our honor to introduce you to the Benoits and share with you their story of how they built their enormously large family on love, kindness, and compassion.

Heres what their nominator Tiffani Mowers wrote in:

Craig and Sally are beyond dedicated to their family. They recently celebrated their 17th wedding anniversary. Over the years Craig and Sally have fostered many children, most of which they ended up adopting. The couple has had five children of their own, and adopted SEVEN more children. They have another child they are currently fostering, and of course, are in the process of adopting.

Not only are they devoted to their children but they have devoted their entire lives to helping children in need. During the day Craig works at the school as a substitute teacher. Sally is currently doing respite work during the evenings and during the day she babysits a few more children. There is no question that this couple is our home town hero. That amount of lives they have touched and changed is countless and remarkable. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before they add more to "their crew."
