It’s National Dog Day Show Some Love For The Pups
It seems as though everyday is National - something or another - Day but National Dog Day is one I can get behind every year!
National Dog Day rolls around once a year on August 26th and according to National Dog Day.com:
National Dog Day celebrates all breeds, pure and mixed and serves to help galvanize the public to recognize the number of dogs that need to be rescued each year, either from public shelters, rescues and pure breed rescues. National Dog Day honors family dogs and dogs that work selflessly to save lives, keep us safe and bring comfort. Dogs put their lives on the line every day - for their law enforcement partner, for their blind companion, for the disabled, for our freedom and safety by detecting bombs and drugs and pulling victims of tragedy from wreckage.
But most dogs are in our homes and provide us with unconditional love and companionship. Some times it's possible to loose sight of that so my favorite part of National Dog Day is perhaps the reminder to show that same sort of love and support to our pups (not that we don't do so on the daily anyways).
If you are looking to celebrate the website says:
Celebrating National Dog Day can be as easy as giving your four-legged friend a big hug and kiss!
Of course if you want to step up your game they do have plenty of ways you can help celebrate by raising awareness or volunteering check out their list HERE.
Now show us your love for your pup and post those pix! I'll start us off with a few pix of Emma love!
