After erasing and replacing part of our coaching staff, you can't help but think about some of the moments that really should be erased from Buffalo Sabres history.

For starters: the last 13 seasons without a playoff appearance?

However, there is one scary moment in Buffalo Sabres history that happened decades ago yet it lives on in many fans' memory as if it just happened yesterday.

The Buffalo Sabres and the Boston Bruins had just finished their morning practice ahead of the game scheduled for that evening. Shortly after both teams had left the ice, the arena’s original Jumbotron came crashing down.

The Jumbrotron was being remotely moved when the crash occurred and thankfully, nobody was injured as a result of the crash.

While everyone was ok, the game was postponed to clean up the 20-ton Jumbotron.

It’s one of the craziest things to happen in Buffalo Sabres history, but it’s not the only thing we’ve been shocked to see.

Although Lindy Ruff has recently been renamed the head coach of the Buffalo Sabres, he still finds himself on the list of 7 Moments We Want To Erase From Buffalo Sabres History. I mean, I can't be the only one that remembers the echo of Coach Ruff's disheartening "No Goal" after a triple overtime game that prevented us from securing the Stanley Cup in 1999.

It still hurts all these years later, because the Sabres and the fanbase are still waiting for redemption.

Some moments are worse than others, but they all permanently take up space in our brain. We’ll never forget them, but hopefully Lindy Ruff can redeem himself this upcoming season and give us one of the best comeback stories of all time.
