Something special happens during each episode of Late Night with Seth Meyers on NBC.

Yes, of course, there are the obvious occurrences. Seth welcomes on celebrities from all walks of life; he asks them questions about their life and their work, and then sends them on their way.

That's one common trend on Late Night, but I'm referring to a different one, one which allows local NBC affiliates to be featured on each episode of Meyers' show. Tuesday night, an Upstate New York station had its logo featured in a very prominent location on the set of the show.

Only the most diligent of late-night television viewers would have spotted this. Were you one of them?

Capital Region NBC Affiliate WNYT Featured on Desk of Late Night with Seth Meyers

A huge shoutout to WNYT's Rachel Tiede for sharing this photo on her X account on Tuesday:

The photo features a WNYT NewsChannel 13 mug, placed front-and-center on Seth Meyers' desk. One follower of Tiede's had a bit of fun with their response to the photo:

One other follower shared a more serious thought, one that we've all had at one time or another:

If you check out this clip from Tuesday's episode, the mug can be seen in a few of the first shots, as Meyers welcomes on (the hilarious) Ed Helms for an interview:

This is a really fun thing that the production staff at Late Night does each night. On a nightly basis, every NBC viewer in America has the chance to have their local affiliate acknowledged on a national stage.

It's a fun entertainment easter egg, just in-time for the holidays!
