Honor a Veteran-Volunteer For Wreaths Across America in Saratoga

On Saturday, December 16th, thousands of holiday wreaths will be placed on local veterans' gravestones at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. They need more volunteers and you can help.

Wreaths Across America

This will be the eighth year for National Wreaths Across America Day at the Saratoga National Cemetery. Through community donations, sixteen thousand one hundred wreaths have been ordered. Because all sixteen thousand one hundred wreaths were ordered it will ensure that every grave at Saratoga National Cemetery will don a holiday remembrance wreath.

Volunteers Are Needed This Weekend

On Saturday, December 16th, hundreds of volunteers will be on hand to lay the wreaths on the veterans' graves. More volunteers are needed. If you would like to be part of this beautiful ceremony, click HERE.

The wreath placement will begin at 11 am with the Wreaths Across America Ceremony to follow at noon at the Flagpole Assembly Area.

I've lived here my entire life, and I'm not sure I realized just how beautiful the Empire State truly is. There's no shortage of stunning landscapes and breathtaking views throughout the great State of New York.

It doesn't matter where you live, or where you travel, New York residents are never far from a gorgeous beach, a picturesque state park, or an awe-inspiring mountain.

In 2018, a photographer named Demetri Andritsakis made a 3-and-a-half-minute drone video highlighting many of New York's breathtaking views called "Upstate New York By Air".

Andritsakis submitted it to the 2018 New York State Fair Drone Film Festival, and deservedly so, he received a Gold Medal honor for his aerial work throughout upstate New York.
