Today, Friday, November 8th, is the official release day for DD-214, and Adirondack Brewery is making it extra special for veterans. Any veteran who comes in for lunch or dinner will receive a complimentary 4-pack of DD-214 to-go, so they can savor this unique brew at home.

DD-214 was created in 2020 by Bob Shafer, an Adirondack Brewery team member and U.S. Air Force veteran. Every year since, a group of veterans has come together at Adirondack to help brew a fresh batch of this blonde IPA, made with Veterans Blend hops.

Named after the military discharge document given to service members, DD-214 is more than just a refreshing beer with hints of citrus and pine—it’s a symbol of camaraderie, service, and gratitude.

Adirondack Brewery Owner John Carr said,

DD-214 is a celebration of veterans’ strength and commitment, we’re grateful to have veterans like Bob on our team, and it’s an honor to share this special brew with those who have served.

Adirondack Brewery, celebrating its 25th anniversary, is located at 33 Canada Street in Lake George. Follow them on social media and visit adkbrewery.com to learn more.

LOOK! Abandoned Orange County Chopper HQs in Newburgh-TLC's 'American Chopper'

WARNING: Under no circumstances should you enter this property. By doing so you risk bodily harm and/or prosecution for trespassing on private property.
In 2003, a father-son business reality show hit the Discovery Channel. It was called American Chopper and it followed the custom motorcycle-building business of the Teutul family out of Newburgh, NY. Paul Sr. owned the shop with sons Paul Jr. and Mikey working in the business. There was a slew of cast and characters. The center of the show wasn't just the amazing custom motorcycles built for celebrities and others, it was the volatile relationship between Sr. and Jr. The show ran for 12 seasons before the two could no longer get along. It ended up in lawsuits and the two not talking for ten-plus years. In the past few years, the business moved to Florida. This left the 61,000-square-foot headquarters for sale and abandoned. Take a look at what remained of Orange County Choppers.
