If you've been down Central Ave in Albany near 155 you know that there has been some construction going on at 1881 Central. That's because the all new Jade Asian Buffet is coming into Albany just in time for Spring!

The space that Jade has been renovating was previously the Dragon Buffet that had been a fixture on Albany's Central Avenue for a number of years. When they closed the folks from Jade were able to come in with new ideas, new management and a whole new concept for the buffet. They also want to make it clear to everyone that they are not involved with the former buffet in any way.

What type of food will they have?

Jade will be offering Pan Asian cuisine. According to a representative from Jade Asian Buffet, their menu will encompass many different types of Asian  food with a focus on Chinese and Japanese.

They have a grand opening planned for March 5, 2026 at the newly renovated location and I can't wait to see what they've done with the place. I'm also excited for a new buffet to open up in the area because it feels like that style of restaurant has all but faded away. While we once had Old Country Buffet, Golden Corral and Ponderosa, we're not left with many options now. This will be most welcome.

Jade Asian Buffet is located at 1881 Central Ave in Albany, NY. On the day of their grand opening they are offering 10% off all day and it will kick off at noon with a ribbon cutting and a traditional Dragon Dance.

Hopefully soon we will be able to add Jade to our list of favorite places to grab a bit of Chinese style food. We wish them all the success!
