As we told you earlier actor James Franco is rumored to be a part of a new indie film project that will be filming around the Capital Region called "The Pretenders." He has been spotted around town while the film was holding open casting calls and scouting locations. However, his exact involvement in the film has yet to be announced.

According to the TU, the film is set do a bit of filming in Troy this week. City crews were posting signs all day today to shut down the streets south of Congress for Tuesday and Wednesday in order to ensure that no 21st century cars were seen driving through the set seeing as though the film is supposed to be set in the '70s and '80s.

It's possible that filming might continue on Green Island as the Green Island Bridge is scheduled to be closed for parts of Wednesday however the purpose has not been confirmed.

If you are planning on driving through these areas you might want to give yourself some extra time and plan for an alternate route over the next couple of days.

If you were hoping to maybe get a shot at being in the film I hear they may still be looking for extras. If you want details on that you can click HERE.
