This summer, once a month, Ballston Spa will have some very welcome guests. Everything from Trolls with rainbow colored hair to an Ice Queen, a pack of pets and cavemen and women. Yes! The tradition of free movies and all the characters that come with them will continue at Wiswall Park starting in June.

The annual screenings began in 2007 and this year looks to be fun for the whole family once again. Here are the movies on the summer schedule:

Trolls - Friday June 4th (Rain Date 6/5) This 2016 animated film is rated PG and features the voices of Anna Kendrick, Justin Timberlake, Russell Brand and Gwen Stefani. The story centers around a Troll named Poppy. After her village is invaded she sets off with her friend Branch to save the others.

The Croods - Friday July 2nd (Rain Date 7/3) This 2013 animated film is rated PG and features the voices of Nicholas Cage, Emma Stone and Ryan Reynolds. The Croods are a cave family whose home gets destroyed. Time to move to an unfamiliar world.

Frozen - Friday August 6th (Rain Date 8/7) This 2013 animated film is rated PG and features the voices of Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel. It's a Capital Region spring, one minute it's hot the next it's freezing. In this movie, Queen Elsa accidentally turns things into ice and her sister Anna and her friends try to change the weather condition.

The Secret Life of Pets 2 - Friday September 3rd (Rain Date 9/4) This 2019 animated film is rated PG and features the voices of Patton Oswalt, Harrison Ford, Kevin Hart and Dana Carvey. Max is top dog in the movie. He and his friends have this secret life that we can peek in on when their owners are away.

Each movie will begin at approximately 8:30pm. News10 ABC suggests that you bring something to sit on. Yes, social distancing and guidelines will be in place for each showing and that is subject to change as the months pass.
