Just In Time For Christmas Break, West Mountain To Open On Friday
West Mountain is finally opening for its 2021-2022 season on Friday. Unfortunately, we haven't had the best ski conditions yet in the area, but that is not stopping West Mountain from opening.
Start Skiing, Snowboarding from 8:30 am-6 pm, and 31 trails lighted for day and night skiing. The tubing park will be open Friday's 4-8 pm, Saturday-Sunday 10 am-6 pm. Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and Day skiing are available, so check the website for more details.
You can buy ski season passes, 6-week program passes, or even purchase lessons from West Mountain.
Would you instead go tubing? A tubing birthday party would be fun for the family and friends. The tubing park has six upper and eight lower lanes, all accessible by the moving magic carpet ride. Plan your party and purchase day passes on the West Mountain website.
West Mountain offers Stay & Play Camps for the kids during their school breaks. Send your kids to camp where they'll learn to ski & snowboard or fine-tune their existing skills. Camps start next week for Christmas break and are available for MLK weekend and winter break.
What if you are a nonskier but want to go with family and friends? West offers group, semi-private, and private lesson instruction to children and adults of all abilities. West has expanded its Learning Area to accommodate more lessons for this season, so no more excuses you do not know how to ski (or is that just me). If you want to brave it, they also offer snowboard lessons.
If you are like me and have not skied in years and haven't been tubing since you were little, then The West Mountain Bar & Eatery will be the place for you. Keep warm, grab something to eat, and wait for the kids to finish having fun in the snow! I'll be there, and I'll save you a spot at the bar!
