Do you believe in Krampus? He's has a lot in common with Santa Clause, but witha  few slight differences. When Santa puts you on the naughty list he brings you coal or nothing at all. Krampus has his own style where he beats you with twigs and puts you in a sack. And if you would like to, you can get your picture with him this weekend in Saratoga!

Who is Krampus?

Krampus started as a pagan tradition in Germany and is one of many terrifying Christmas time legends created to make sure that children were well behaved.

From the Encyclopedia Britannica:

Krampus, in central European popular legend, a half-goat, half-demon monster that punishes misbehaving children at Christmastime. He is the devilish companion of St. Nicholas. Krampus is believed to have originated in Germany, and his name may ultimately derive from the Old High German word Krampf, meaning “cramp” or “claw,” though the etymology is disputed.

The event will take place Sunday December 21st 12pm-2pm at High Peaks Canna in Saratoga Springs. It it located at 137 Maple Ave, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.

Krampus is invading High Peaks Canna with a creepy holiday photo experience designed for the wicked, the weird, and the wonderfully elevated. Step inside, strike a pose, and leave with a professional photo that feels equal parts holiday cheer and dark.
Update: The photos themselves are free and include a professional print. Also note that this is a 21 plus event and ID will be required.

Take a look at this amazing holiday tradition. This is the Greenwich Holiday Lighted Tractor Parade. It started in 2013 for locals to decorate their tractors and parade through town displaying the spirit of the holidays.
