Legendary Artist Comes Out of Retirement, 4 New York Shows Planned
Why do some artists say they are going to retire only to return to the stage a few years later? Several acts have even done more than one farewell tour. Do they do it for money or do they simply miss playing in front of an audience? No matter what the reasons are for Peter Frampton, we are happy to see his return.
Peter Frampton retired from touring in 2019 due to an illness. Now, in 2023, Frampton will come alive once again for the 'Never Say Never Tour', which includes 4 stops throughout New York State.
Peter Frampton's 'Frampton Comes Alive!' album is one of the best selling live albums of all time. More than one song from that release were recorded in New York, including the epic version of 'Do You Feel Like We Do', which was recorded at SUNY Plattsburgh at Memorial Hall in 1976.
47 years later, Peter Frampton is headed back to New York for 4 shows!

- Tuesday July 25th - Capitol Theatre, Port Chester, NY
- Wednesday July 26th - The Paramount, Huntington, NY
- Friday July 28th - Turning Stone Resort Casino, Verona, NY
In 2019 Peter Frampton was diagnosed with Inclusion Body Myositis, which has caused Frampton to be uneasy on his feet. One way he has been able to continue playing on stage is to sit while performing. This may be the case for the 'Never Say Never Tour'.
There is currently no cure for Inclusion Body Myositis.
