Lita Ford and Lzzy Hale Team Up for ‘Cherry Bomb’ and ‘Close My Eyes Forever’ in NYC
It was a special night last night (April 27) at New York City's Webster Hall, where Halestorm, Lita Ford and Dorothy played a show on their current U.S tour. During Lita's set, Halestorm frontwoman Lzzy Hale and Dorothy (lead singer of the band Dorothy) came out for some special performances.
Toward the latter part of her set, Lita introduced Lzzy and Dorothy, and the took the stage to perform the Runaways classic "Cherry Bomb," with Lita declaring, "This is the Runaways, 37 years later." (Watch above.) The Runaways were Lita's band with Joan Jett and others in the late '70s.
After that performance, Dorothy walked offstage, but Lzzy remained to sing "Close My Eyes Forever," the song Lita made famous with Ozzy Osbourne in the '80s, and that was covered by Lzzy and David Draiman on the Device album. Watch below, as Lzzy and Lita exchange praises before performing the song .
Only a couple dates remain on this particular tour, but Halestorm have a shows scheduled all the way through August. See the dates here.
