All New Stewart’s Open at Former Grandma’s Pies Location

They say you're not officially in Upstate New York until you've seen your first Stewart's location. In Albany, and the rest of the Capital Region we have plenty of them and it looks like they're growing that business every single day. Not only expanding is size, but also the products that they are offering to their loyal customers, and Stewart's customers are as loyal as they come.

New locations keep popping up, and they're even bigger than the previous ones. Newer Stewart's locations are nothing the small brick and brown buildings of the past. These new spots have huge areas to get gas and even larger interiors. The latest location to open up would be at 1273 Central Avenue in Albany. That location is where Grandma's Pies used to be located but it has completely transformed into a giant new Stewart's. It opened officially this week, but a grand opening is planned for later this month.

Grand Opening

The grand opening of this location is expected to take place Friday August 29, 2025. The ribbon cutting will be at 11am and they're going to have specials on gas and food for the entire day. That special will include 20 cents off gas for the day as well as:

• Free single scoop ice cream cones
• Free hot coffee or tea (any size)
• .99 cent pizza
• .99 cent hot dogs

This new location isn't far from another Central Ave Stewart's that is located up the road near the entrance and exit of the Northway. Strategically, this location gives them stops on either side of the road for those traveling up and down Central avenue from Albany to Colonie and the other way around.
