New York State Police Seek Your Help, Do You Know These Two?

There are all types of crime committed in New York State and one of the quickest incidents would be a "smash and grab" theft. Merriam-Webster defines this style of crime as "a robbery that is done by breaking a window of a car, store, etc., and stealing whatever can be taken quickly".

New York State Police, according to a press release, are looking for 2 individuals that are suspected of a series of smash and grab crimes. Take a look at the pictures below to see if either the man, woman or both look familiar to you.

The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation at Binghamton is looking to identify two people that are linked to several “smash and grabs” in Broome County. These two people are also suspects in cases being investigated by other law enforcement agencies in the area.

These two individuals are suspected of smashing car windows and stealing items such as checkbook, photo IDs, wallet, cash and debit card. Many of these incidents have taken place in broad daylight, during a softball game, at parks and while people are working.

The suspects were spotted in a white BMW X4 but the license plate on that vehicle was found to be stolen from the state of Connecticut. If you have any information, contact New York State Police at 607-561-7400.

DO NOT leave valuables in an unlocked vehicle. Do not leave valuables in plain view or in your vehicle unattended, even if your vehicle is locked. If you see anything suspicious, don’t hesitate to call 9-1-1.

13 Of New York State's Most Wanted Criminals- September 2024
