New York States Secret Beaches, Here are The Top 3 Ranked
Do you have a secret swimming spot? A place so special you want to keep it to yourself? Lake George, Skaneateles Lake and Lake Placid, to name a few, are no longer secrets but with more than 7,600 freshwater lakes, ponds and reservoirs in New York State according to the DEC, there are a few gems you might not know about.
Here are New York States Top 3 - Best Secret Beaches.
Family Destinations Guide surveyed approximately 3,000 families across the United States to see which beaches they most wanted to visit this summer. As you might guess, Hawaii dominates this list with 3 beaches in the Top 5 but New York State has 3 in the Top 100, including an upstate beach.
The biggest surprise for me is that Alaska made the Top 100 twice! Our neighbors in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Vermont made the list as well. As for New York State here are the Top 3 - Best Secret Beaches.

Orient Beach State Park is located on the far eastern tip of the north fork of Long Island. Great place for swimming, fishing, kayaking, you name it.

Amsterdam Beach Preserve is located in Montauk, Long Island, refer to by the locals as the Montauk Moorlands, features nearly 1,300 feet of undeveloped ocean frontage.
