In case you weren't aware, Pearl Jam is celebrating something huge! The band has experienced an astounding 20 year career and is getting ready to release "PJ20." A film and soundtrack complete with concerts, interviews, re-releases and more to honor all the band has accomplished in its 20 year reign.  More info on what to expect when it comes out is right here.

And as if that weren't enough, the band held a two-day concert in East Troy, Wisconsin at the Alpine Valley Music Theatre this past weekend and when the final set finished, Eddie Vedder returned to stage with a guitar. According to this Rolling Stone article, Eddie played songs he had written while backstage at the show. The theme of the encore was more than just entertainment, it was a celebration of life and enjoying the rare gift of getting to do what you love the most.

Turns out Pearl Jam wasn’t the only one celebrating either – musical guests Joseph Arthur, Queens of the Stone Age, the Strokes, Mudhoney and a slew of others took the stage to play new versions of old songs with a band that has become nothing short of legendary. Check out the article in RS for a play-by-play of the weekend.
