Well, I can see how this could certainly put a damper on your day at the park.

The crazy storms rolling through the Capital Region today definitely had an impact on some roller coaster riders' day out at Six Flags Great Escape in Queensbury today. A little before 2 p.m. heavy rain and thunderstorms from one of the storms knocked a tree onto a power line that just so happened to provide power to the entire park.

Yikes! Without power to the park, the outage left many riders stuck on roller coasters and rides for up to 30 minutes. I mean I can't even imagine and I'm totally a thrill-seeker and happen to love coasters. I think that maybe as long as I wasn't stuck upside down and didn't have to pee, I could be good for 30 minutes. However, I don't know about having to climb off those rides and down all those crazy ladder looking step down the sides though.

According to the TU, it was only the amusement park that was affected and the water park was functioning fine. Looks like power is set to return at around 4:30 p.m. and the park even offered up some return vouchers for people who may have been put out.

Would you have been able to remain calm while stuck on a coaster for a half hour or would you have been completely freaking out?
