A very popular ice cream stand in Queensbury is closing down for a few days due to one of their employees testing positive for the coronavirus. Martha’s Dandee Creme says a coronavirus positive employee worked September 18th, 21st, and 22nd.  Martha's will be closed to allow the other employees that might have come into contact with the infected employee to quarantine for 14 days.

News 10 reports that Martha's isn't being forced to close, but they are doing it to be cautious.

My family and I stopped by Martha's Dandee Creme when we were visiting Lake George back in mid-August. Every employee was wearing a mask and using hand sanitizer between orders and after handling money. The whole time we were there I felt like they were doing everything possible to help people social distance and get their ice cream safely. We got food and ice cream and it was delicious. I got a chocolate shake and it was pretty awesome, by the way.

Martha's Dandee Creme usually closes for the season in early October. This year they are scheduled to close October 12th, so there's a chance they won't reopen this year.

The Warren County Health Department is asking anyone that visited Martha's on September 18th, 21st, and 22nd to monitor their symptoms. If they do start showing signs of the coronavirus like fever, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue. They should contact their doctor and also contact the Warren County Health Department.
