Chicken is a big business these days and one of the hottest restaurants to get it at is Raising Cane's. The people of the Capital Region have been asking about getting one of these coveted spots opened for years and it appears that time is coming. According to the Albany Business Review, Raising Cane's is eyeing a spot on Wolf Road in Colonie for their first ever location in the Capital Region. If this is true this would be a big get for the Capital Region.

The reported spot that Raising Cane's is looking to go into would be the former 99 Restaurant location. That is at 107 Wolf Road and puts them in a hot spot of restaurants in that area that also includes Texas Road House, Toro, Jersey Mike's and Mosu just to name a few.

Next, the folks from the restaurant will meet with the town of Colonie to discuss the proposed location. That meeting will take place on April 14th.

I would be thrilled to see a Raising Cane's come to our area.  When it comes to hot places for food they are always at the top of the list. New York City has at least one location I am aware of and I know they are also out in Western New York. This is great for our area as we're not being overlooked for another spot. This will also give Chick-fil-A some decent competition.

Raising Cane's just continues to add to the growing number of businesses that are coming to the Capital Region. Costco is set to open soon as well.
