Ronnie James Dio passed away 11 years ago this week and although more than a decade has gone by it seems like just yesterday we had tickets to see Dio in 1985 at RPI Fieldhouse in Troy or Heaven and Hell at Times Union Center in 2007.

Ronnie Dio played countless shows around the Capital Region, Syracuse and in his hometown of Cortland, New York. From his first bands Ronnie and the Rumblers and Ronnie Dio and the Prophets it was clear that not only did he have the drive and determination to make it, that voice was to lead the way to a brilliant career.
