Man, it is not looking good for the summer concert season here in the Capital Region...or anywhere in the country for that matter.

Sammy Hagar and The Circle was scheduled to play the Saratoga Performing Arts Center on August 18th with Whitesnake and Night Ranger. Unfortunately, the coronavirus had other plans and the entire 2020 tour has been canceled.

Sammy made the announcement on his Facebook page. He said, "We're disappointed that the current situation has forced us to make this call but our top priority is the health and safety of our entire CIRCLE which extends from the band to our touring family to the venue staff at every show and especially to our fans.

We can’t wait for the day when we’re safely on the other side of this and can hit the stage and celebrate with you again. Until then, stay safe and we’ll do our best to continue entertaining you with our Lockdown Sessions! Sending Love & Light - Sammy, Michael, Jason & Vic"

Whitesnake has already pulled out of the tour a couple of months ago due to surgery that David Coverdale had to have to repair a hernia.

In the meantime, Sammy Hagar said that all ticket holders will get an email soon with refund options.

Sammy and the guys have stayed busy during the quarantine by playing a series of cover songs that they are calling, "Lockdown Sessions". Check them out....they are really good.
