This Saturday, October 24th from 11a-2:30p, there will be an animal adoption clinic at the Saratoga County Animal Shelter. This special Animal Adoption Clinic will be hosted by Saratoga County District Attorney Brett Eby, Sheriff Jeff Brown, and Jason and Kent Nelson.
In September we reported the case of a missing golden retriever named Wilson. Tragically, Wilson was found deceased and the news broke the hearts of many Capital Region residents and shattered the hearts of Wilson's dads Jason and Kent Nelson. Today they are not to be deterred.

In honor of their boy Wilson, Wilson’s Legacy Animal Protection and Advocacy, Inc. (WLAPA) was formed as a voice for animals and a legacy of compassion. At WLAPA they believe every animal deserves safety, dignity, and compassionate care. Their purpose is to speak up for animals and inspire people to help build a kinder world.
WLAPA is proud to be part of this special Animal Adoption Clinic, alongside some wonderful community partners and animal advocates.
On Saturday October 24th you will have the opportunity to:
- Meet animals looking for their forever homes
- Learn more about adoption and responsible pet ownership
- Connect with local animal advocates and organizations
- Help give a deserving animal a new beginnin
