Shots Fired at Daycare Center in Albany
The Albany Police Department are on the scene investigating a shooting at an occupied daycare center in the city.
***UPDATE***
It appears that no children were harmed in the shooting incident at First and Quail Streets this afternoon however, a man has died. News10 has updated information on the incident saying that police were called to the area of the daycare center after a report of shots fired.
Officers were notified a short time later that a vehicle pulled over on Henry Johnson Boulevard near Third Street for an occupant that flagged down a Mohawk Ambulance to inform them he had been shot.
The victim, a 35-year-old man, was treated by medical personnel from the ambulance and the Albany Fire Department for gunshot wounds to the torso.
He was transported to Albany Medical Center where he later died.
The shooting is still currently under investigation.

News10 is reporting that a man fired shots at an occupied daycare in the city of Albany located at First and Quail Street today. Albany Police Department are currently on the scene and investigating the incident.
The number of injuries resulting from the shooting are unknown at this time. It does appear that they have the suspect in custody as the news station is reporting that the man drove himself to the police station following the incident.
