The other day Mrozek posted a video of William Shatner singing Black Sabbath's "Iron Man" for his upcoming album called Seeking Major Tom.   I love Captain Kirk, and that got me thinking about sings that I would love to see him do a version of.  Sure most of them are just ridiculous, but to think of Shatner belting out the lyrics to some of these songs would be highly entertaining.  Plus I get the feeling that he is the kind of guy who can laugh at himself and doesn't take himself all that serious.

    Limp Bizkit - Nookie

Okay I realize that this will probably never happen, but how funny would it be to see Shatner saying that he "did it all for the nookie" in a way only he could deliver? I think it's implied that he would need to wear the signature Fred Durst red hat though.

    Motorhead - Ace of Spades

He has already tackled some heavy metal, so why not kick it up a notch and cover some Motorhead. I am willing to be that he could even get Lemmy to play bass of the track. Why not? He already got Zakk Wylde to play on his most recent record.

Backstreet Boys - I Want It That Way

Simply because this would entertain me. Personally I think he should get a bunch of the old Star Trek guys involved in it. Maybe George Takei, Patrick Stewart, Brent Spiner and Levar Burton. I don't think Leonard Nimoy is game for these type of shenanigans.

    LMFAO - Party Rock Anthem

It probably wouldn't hurt to expose Shatner to the kids in the club. And to be honest I can't get this song out of my head. Maybe not a complete cover, but they should at least give Shatner a featured spot.

Beastie Boys - (You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party)

This generation is in need of an anthem, and who better to bring it to them than Shatner and the Beasties? They could even unveil the tune at the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
