Spend A Night or Two In A School Bus That Is Only A Short Ride To The Capital Region

The most popular is finding the cabin in the woods, but how about a school bus in the woods? I am not talking about your average school bus with the hard leather seats and the stuffy air. I am talking tiny house on wheels.

The Happy Camper Bus, cabin on wheels, is located at the Wellnesste Lodge and Nature Sanctuary in Tabery, New York. It is only an hour and a half from the Capital Region, this cabin on wheels has everything you need for a cozy cabin getaway with its private campsite area and a campfire ring.

Old-school buses converted to living spaces are called 'Skoolies." This Skoolie has electricity & heat and a sawdust toilet. In addition, you have access to a shared detached full bathroom with a shower. You'll also have access to a shared 3 season room with picnic tables and a shared BBQ area.

How cute is that kitchen? Everything you need with a full-size stove and plenty of counter space. That does not look like the school bus we went to school in.

This bus can sleep 3 to 4 adults with its king-size bed and sofa bed.
