Steven Tyler Engaged To Be Married For The Third Time

Notorious Aerosmith vocalist Steven Tyler has just gotten engaged for the third time to longtime girlfriend Erin Brady. Not long ago he was featured in a video saying how ashamed he was of his racy past with women, and now he is engaged. I guess he learned his lesson?

Tyler, 63, proposed to Brady, 38, his girlfriend of five years, during their Christmas vacation in Maui, Hawaii. Tyler has not yet confirmed the engagement- Brady was seen wearing a diamond ring.

According to the article, Brady planned to be the one to change Tyler for the better and get him out of his bad boy mold:

I saw him, how he behaved… badly, she said, according to ETOnline.com, telling Oprah she had to step up to the plate as the womanizing continued when their relationship became romantic. Her strategy was to "play" as he would when Tyler would stray, which he admits was a wake-up call and an instigator towards treating the women of his life with the respect they deserve.

Tyler is confident that he has changed and can retain a monogamous relationship with her, as he said in the recent video:

There was some behavior I am ashamed of and I shouldn't have done, Steven explained. When asked bluntly if he believed he could remain monogamous with Erin, Tyler confidently replied that he could. I don't want to hurt anybody again, he said. For all the divorces I've had I've hurt those girls deeply.

Tyler has been married twice before- first to model Cyrinda Foxe in 1978, which lasted seven years, and second to fashion designer Teresa Barrick in 1988. That marriage ended in 2006, the same year he started dating Brady. He has three daughters and a son with the women, including one with former lover Bebe Buell. Two of his daughters, Mia and Liv Tyler are well-known in the entertainment world.

Hopefully the third time's a charm for Tyler, and he and Brady last until death do them part.
