How Does The New Stewart’s Shops Protein Shake Taste?

The world seems to be totally obsessed with protein right now and you can blame a few things for this. The new upside down food pyramid, and fitness influencers pounding the idea in your heads 24/7.

I can tell you that as someone who does workout making sure you're getting your daily protein intake is very important for both gaining muscle and losing weight. Making sure you're getting all that protein can be costly and now it looks like there is a more affordable protein shake option from Stewart's Shops here in the Capital Region.

This new protein shake from Stewart's is chocolate flavored and comes in at less than $2 for the entire bottle. It contains 30 grams of protein per bottle, too. I say that because I thought that the bottle was just one serving, but it is two. It's 150 calories for one serving and only 15 grams of protein for that serving. The entire thing would be 300 calories. If you're looking to have this a meal replacement that isn't terrible. If you're looking for a low calorie high protein snack option this probably isn't going to be it.

Our review:

Over all this new protein shake tastes pretty decent. On a  scale of 1-10 I would give it a 7 for taste. It is very comparable to other pre-made chocolate shakes. It does have that chocolate milk flavor that I like from Stewart's but one thing I discovered is that it does tend to have a bit of an odd after taste once you've been drinking it for a while. Not a deal breaker as I've noticed this with other shakes out there.

In terms of value I give it a 10 out of 10 because it comes in at half the price of most of the shakes on the market. As far as macros go I would probably give it a 6 our o 10. There is a lot of sugar in it. Many of the other shares on the market are sugar free or much lower amounts.
