So much craziness has went down in the last 24 hours that I'm literally ready to explode. After 9-11 came increased security procedures federally, which I think, has made most of us feel a little at ease. Then yesterday happened.

A heart-wrenching photo of 8-year-old Martin Richard, who was killed in the Boston Marathon bombing on Monday, shows the boy holding a hand-drawn sign that says, "No more hurting people. Peace."

As a parent, the hardest part of coping with any tragedy—be it a national or personal one—is finding the words to explain the unexplainable to your children, society's most innocent members.

Yesterday's twin bombings at the Boston Marathon dominated the front pages of newspapers everywhere. We gathered a few from the Newseum for you to take a look at how various publications across the country shared the story.

Runners are a very unified group and have a special connection whenever they meet a fellow runner. Running takes so much dedication, training, and work. While people have different motives for running, it's being a runner that brings them together...

Robert Watling and Kelli Johnston are a speedy pair. In fact, Watling proposed to Johnston last October after they completed the Chicago Marathon, which was one of the many 26.2 mile races the couple had completed together. Given their shared history in running shoes -- their first date was a 5K race -- getting married after the Boston Marathon seemed like the natural thing to do.

Back in 1995 James Plourde graduated from Colonie High School, went on to Siena College, where he graduated in 2000 and promptly moved to Boston to become a teacher. It didn't take long before 'Jim' became a Boston firefighter.

Yesterday an Albany native named Sean was at the Boston Marathon only 25-30 feet away from the second blast. Today Sean called in to The Free Beer and Hot Wings Show to talk about what he had experienced. Along with Sean at the marathon was Sean's girlfriend who was injured when the couple was spilt up from the stampeding crowd...

A press conference was held Tuesday morning (4/16) which cleared up some confusion regarding earlier reports of there being other devices, and where the FBI is in their investigation. 78 year old Bill Iffrig was in the mist of running his third Boston Marathon when we was near the finish and the first bomb went off. You may have seen the footage of the runner that falls to the ground as the first explosion happens, that runner was Bill Iffrig.

Joe Andruzzi, winner of the NFL's Ed Block Courage Award and three Super Bowls with the Patriots, was at the Boston Marathon with his Caner Foundation as a big supporter of several runners. When the first bomb went off he took to Twitter to say he was near the blast but then his account went silent - We now know he was helping those in need during the aftermath.
