Titles. Pro stars. Memorable moments. Albany has a rich sports history, so I took to Facebook, and asked you: what is the most iconic moment in Albany sports history?
What a difference a year makes. Carmelo Anthony played for one season at Syracuse University. In that 2002-03 season, Melo averaged 22 points and 10 rebounds, leading head coach Jim Boeheim's team to their third National Championship. Melo left a few months later in the NBA draft as the 3rd overall pick of the Denver Nuggets. However, Anthony will always be on the Mount Rushmore of Syracuse basketball. Now his son may continue that Orange legacy.
Pundits might question Carmelo Anthony's shot selection or defensive skills, but they best not doubt the all-star forward's toughness. In a recent interview with WebMD magazine, the New York Knicks' star talked about growing up in one of the toughest neighborhoods in Baltimore...
Wow, that game one was fantastic wasn’t it? Absolutely classic! Truth be told, I didn’t see the any of the game on television. But I was listened to every play on the radio while driving back from NH and it made a usual 3 & ½ hour trip fly right by as I was hanging on the edge of my seat the entire game.
This is like easy money. Let’s take a look at what a good investment it is to take whoever the Knicks are playing. Not only are they below .500% since the Carmelo trade, but betting against them when they’re favored to win is like someone giving you the secret code to their ATM card.
I’m sure that many Knick fans are happy about the trade, but do you remember in 2006 when Carmelo Anthony threw a sucker punch at MSG? I do, that's the day I lost all respect for him.
