The lineup on Union Street has changed over the years but there's one staple that had been there for years, until now.

If you frequent Troy, then you're probably one of the many people heartbroken over this staple's closing.

Every hometown has a reliable late-night delivery place that when the urge strikes. you call up in a moments notice for a dozen wings or large pepperoni pie, or both.  A little piece of me died when I heard that one of Albany's classic late-night delivery restaurants was turning off the fryers and shutting their pizza ovens after 28 years.

After a very popular Downtown Schenectady Restaurant Week, Aperitivo Bistro in Schenectady has announced that it is closed.

The "Dollar" stores that we all know and love will be going through a bit of restructuring including closing nearly four hundred of these stores.

More stores continue to close because of online sales and now a major shoe store chain is closing its doors. It will affect seven Capital Region shoe stores.

It looks like in the coming year, a few departments stores will be completely extinct from the Capital Region.  News Channel 13 reported that the Greenwich and Queensbury Kmart stores  will be closing by March, meaning that there will no longer be any Kmart stores in the area...

A Clifton Park staple is going to be closing come 2019. Operating through the 24th of this month, Lindsey's Country Store and Sweet Shop is going to be closing its doors for good.  The Times Union reported that while the store will be open through the 24th, it will also reopen on December 27th to start liquidating, and officially close January 9th...

People loosing their jobs is never something you like to hear about but looking on the bright side of the situation you may be able to score big on some going out of business sales.
