And the bad news continues with the Yankee captain.  Derek Jeter had a CT scan of his injured ankle and it revealed a small crack.  "We're looking at, in terms of speculation when Derek Jeter will be back with us, sometime after the All-Star break," Yankees general manager Brian Cashman told ESPNNewYork.com.

Game one of the American League Championship Series was painful in more ways than one for Yankee fans.  After rallying from four runs down in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Yankees lost in 12 innings to the Tigers.  Shortly after the game came word that captain, Derek Jeter, has a confirmed fractured ankle suffered in the loss and will miss the rest of the playoffs.

If you have never heard Skip Bayless rant endlessly about the rubbish he calls a sports opinion, you missed a treat today.  Bayless called out Yankee Captain, Derek Jeter, for his stellar season at such a late stage in his career.  Bayless suggested that Jeter might be dabbling in the HGH, Human Growth Hormone.

Let's just say Derek Jeter, shortstop for the New York Yankees knows how to pick em. Meet his latest girlfriend, Ralph Lauren Model Hannah Davis. She 22 years old, 5'9.5", 34-24-36 and she is totally hot. She may not be on the same field of Mariah Carey or Minka Kelly, but Derek see's something in her that may get more than a gift basket

Normally around this time of the year, ol' Monte would dish his New Years resolutions to you.  However, I can't recall a year in which I've actually stuck to any of them!  Instead, I figured I'd give you a look back at some of the good times I had in 2011 as we welcome 2012.  A behind the scenes glance of Monte's 2011.

Guys all around the world can rejoice, because the gorgeous Minka Kelly is back on the market!  Not that most of us normal people will have a shot with her, but with Derek Jeter out of the picture it makes the ridiculous dream seem a bit more possible.

When Christian Lopez caught the home run that was Derek Jeter's 3,000th hit last week, he gave the historic ball to the Yankee's shortstop without asking for any money, even though it may have fetched over $100,000 on the open market.    The taxman isn't being so generous with Lopez.

Yankees short stop Derek Jeter is coming off of one of the biggest accomplishments that a major league baseball player can get, 3,000 hits.  What better way to cap that off than making an appearance at the MLB all star game, except that he didn't.

On Saturday,  July 9th 2011,  48,103 Yankee fans all simultaneously  chanted their captain's name before every single pitch during the game against the Tampa Bay Rays.  "Derek Jeter!" *clap clap clap* "Derek Jeter!". Then, after every David Price pitch, nobody in the stadium took a breath of air until the pitch either met the catcher's glove or Derek put some wood on the ball.

Yesterday Derek Jeter hit his 3,000th hit and it just happened to be a home run.  Now there are a lot of people out there who would grab it up in hopes of either holding onto history or making a quick buck, but not one very luck Yankee fan.

What a day for Derek Jeter.  He only needed 2 hits to reach the 3,000 mark and does what he has always done, perform above and beyond.
