While all you living room musicians out there are jonesing for more Rock Band info, Guitar Hero could be restringing for a new gig on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

It's official — Harmonix is tuning up its plastic peripherals for a PlayStation 4 and Xbox One debut of Rock Band 4.

The team over at Harmonix has decided that 21 months is a long enough hiatus from Rock Band, and will deliver new DLC this week.

When the Kickstarter campaign for Amplitude was first announced, fans of the series went crazy for the chance to once again play with some sick beats.

Harmonix is seeking for an encore of its original hit title, Amplitude, and when we mean original, we mean it.

The studio that helped bring music-based games to the forefront has commented on its intentions to one day bring both Rock Band and Dance Central back.

We haven't seen a shooter intertwine itself with music this much since Aerosmith was featured in Revolution X.

It's a sad day when your favorite band retires, and it's with a heavy heart we report that Rock Band downloadable content will no longer be produced after April 2nd.

Activision has decided to kill the one thing that has kept me interested in video games.  Due to declining sales and lack of interest by consumers, Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock will be the the last Guitar Hero released.
