Slash is making some nice progress on his new solo album, and his bandmates say that there are almost 20 songs ready to go for it.

After a very successful 2010 and 2011, Alter Bridge will be taking a break in 2012 while most of the band will get back together with Scott Stapp and Creed for some gigs.

Myles Kennedy talks about the birth of Alter Bridge, what it’s like playing with Slash, and even talks a bit about jamming with Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and Jason Bonham. Man he’s a lucky bastard isn’t he?

Alter Bridge performed Thursday May 18th at Northern Lights in Clifton Park, with Like a Storm and Black Stone Cherry. It was loud, raw and the show rocked.  Q103 had a direct line to the sound board and have the Alter Bridge concert audio so you can relive the show as it was performed.

That's right.  According to the guitar player and founding member the band is going to be on a bit of a break for the next few years.
