Driving from the Capital Region to Vermont the other night, I got a chance to see some of the damage done by the recent storms. In a recent post by WNYT, updating the public on power outages and work being done by National Grid, they noted that nearly 300,000 customers had been impacted by the storms...

Not only is it a staple of Schenectady but I used to work there. I have some great memories in that place and to even see the words "Gershon's Deli Closed," if even temporarily, my heart broke.

I mean it's nice to dream but I'll believe it when I see it ... on my bill and in my bank account.

In all the company is sending a total of 300 workers from Upstate New York and Massachusetts with 40 from right here in the Capital Region.

To be honest, I feel like busted sewer lines have been wreaking havoc all across the Capital Region for the last couple of years now, I think it might be time for some upgrades.

National Grid is looking to improve infrastructure with proposed raised rates. Yeah I get maybe that is a necessary evil but come on. The rate hike they are thinking of is insane.
