Then: We all know the naked baby on the cover of Nirvana’s album ‘Nevermind’ reaching for a dollar bill at the end of a fishhook. The infant was the photographer’s friend’s son (wow, what a mouthful) and was only 3 months old when he was thrown in the pool for the photoshoot. So whatever did happen to the Nirvana baby?

The 'Nevermind' deluxe box sets have been released, remastered with rarities, b-sides, and bootlegs.  Just when you thought you've heard everything Nirvana ever recorded, 'Nevermind' producer Butch Vig revealed that yes there is one more song called 'Song In D'.

It's the 20th anniversary of one of the most influential albums of all time; Nirvana's Nevermind. The release in 1991 made Nirvana the biggest band in the world and helped shape a generation. Nevermind's impact expanded beyond what anyone ever thought it would be.  I found 5 interesting facts about the album that may surprise you.

Three unreleased Nirvana tracks that are part of the upcoming deluxe 20th anniversary reissues of ‘Nevermind’ are now streaming free on the web. One’s a scorching demo, another is a rather good quality “boombox” recording and a third is a concert version of the band’s most famous song.

It’s not too late to rename it Nirvanathon. Over the course of 12 hours, local performers from Canada will take a crack at playing the Nirvana anthem ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ 144 consecutive times as part of the Scotiabank Nuit Blanche art festival in Toronto on Oct. 1.

VH1 announced they will televise a never before seen concert film, NIRVANA: Live at the Paramount simulcast on all three channels September 23rd at 11pm.   The 1991 Halloween concert filmed at Seattle's Paramount Theater features the band performing 'Lithium',  'Sliver' and many others from Nevermind.

It is getting very close to the 20th anniversary of Nirvana's monster 1991 album, Nevermind.  It would be crazy to say that the album didn't have some sort of impact on you, since it had such a giant effect on the music industry as a whole.

Twenty years ago Nirvana released 'Nevermind', the album with a naked baby swimming in a pool.  I remember when the album first came out - there were bans of the cover in stores, but now its starting all over again- Facebook has banned the artwork from it's pages because of it anti-nudity rules.

We are fast approaching the 20th anniversary of the ground breaking record Nevermind by Nirvana.  It may be the bands most well known record, but there was more to the album then was released and we will soon get to hear it!

Nirvana, the band that changed music and the album that made grunge a household word will be celebrating it's 20th anniversary of  'Nevermind' this fall. Universal is planning a massive re-issue release; 4 CD's and 1 DVD Deluxe Edition due out September 19th.
