This weekend, the Lake George Great Escape opened for 2019!  Don't go rushing up because It's not fully open for the season yet, but the fun has started and get excited-  because, really, isn't Great Escape's opening in general one of those local markers that summer is right around the corner...

In only a couple of weeks, heroes can get free admission to the Lake George Great Escape! Coming up July 23-29 at the Lake George Great Escape is "Heroes Week," which means that all kinds of heroes from military personnel to police officers to nurses and EMTs get free admission to the park...

News Channel 13 is reporting that a successful pilot program from last year, to help encourage and assist first time campers, is being continued this year.  According to News Channel 13, The New York DEC and the Office of Parks and Recreation are providing gear for 65 first time campers this year...
