Queens of the Stone Age are now in promotional mode, beginning to build the buzz for their upcoming '…Like Clockwork' album. Frontman Josh Homme recently visited the U.K.'s XFM where he discussed how the band's collaboration with Elton John came about.

Queens of the Stone Age have just released the first piece of their upcoming sixth studio album, '…Like Clockwork.' The brand spanking new track, 'My God Is the Sun,' comes on the same day as the newly released album art for '…Like Clockwork,' which depicts a skull-faced vampire embracing a female within his robe.

A week after Queens of the Stone Age premiered a brand-new song at Lollapalooza Brazil, the band took the stage at Lollapalooza Chile and brought along a friend to help out on a song. Eddie Vedder joined Josh Homme and crew during 'Little Sister.'

Could we be getting closer to finally having a new Queens of the Stone Age album? It appears that way as the group has updated their website to feature a splash page that offers brief instrumental snippets every time the page is refreshed. In addition, after several refreshes, the site offers the messages "June" and  "… Like Clockwork" under the artwork on the page.

Dave Grohl isn't an official member of Queens of the Stone Age -- he serves as guest drummer on the new album -- but that didn't stop the Foo Fighters frontman from revealing that he'll be joined on the disc by a much more unlikely guest: Elton John.

Queens of the Stone Age are in the process of finishing up their next album, but took time out of their schedule to give fans a little insight (or perhaps none at all) on exactly how the disc is coming along in a new mockumentary short inspired, in part, by 'This Is Spinal Tap.'

Dave Grohl is heading back behind the drumkit for Queens of the Stone Age, and he says one of the things the experience provides is freedom from restrictions.
