Cheap Trick was the last concert I saw before the coronavirus pandemic struck. They played The Palace in February and it was an amazing show. Robin Zander just crushing the vocals to their hit songs and Rick Neilson's endless energy and an endless supply of crazy guitars made for a great show. Little did I know that great night was the last concert I would see in 2020.

Well, now Cheap Trick is bringing their incredible catalog of hits to the New York State Fair and I can't wait for the show. Cheap Trick will take the stage at 6 p.m. on Labor Day. closing out the 2021 New York State Fair concert season.

The show is free with New York State Fair admission and will be the headline act for a concert season that is bursting at the seams with great classic rock acts like REO Speedwagon, Foreigner, Ratt, Great White, Blue Oyster Cult, and Joan Jett.

When Cheap Trick hits the stage on September 6th they will play their big hits like "I Want You To Want Me", "Surrender" and "Dream Police". I'm sure they will mix in some of their new songs that they have been working on during the pandemic lockdown.

This will be Cheap Trick's seventh appearance at the New York State Fair and I'm sure being that last band to take the stage will make it a memorable one.
