Tig’s Metal Box: Are Greta Van Fleet the Next Led Zeppelin?
The Metal Box is a weekly web series posted each Friday where we discuss all things hard rock and heavy metal: news, videos, interviews, live concerts and more.
This week we are talking about the hottest new rock band in America, Greta Van Fleet. Watch video above.
Greta Van Fleet broke onto the scene in 2017 with a number 1 rock radio song called "Highway Tune" and playing sold out shows all over the world. The band has been drawing strong comparisons to Led Zeppelin. Greta Van Fleet formed out of Michigan in 2012 with brothers Jish Kiszka (vocals), Jake Kiszka (lead guitar), Sam Kiszka (bass), and Danny Wagner on drums. The band signed to Lava Records in March of 2017 and released their debut EP, Black Smoke Rising in April featuring the debut single "Highway Tune". A second EP called From the Fires featuring the four songs from the first EP and four new songs was released in Nov. 2017. Check out the "Highway Tune" video below.
