Faster Pussycat formed out of Los Angeles in 1985 and had success in the late 1980's with their self-titled debut album Faster Pussycat in 1987 and Wake Me When It's Over in 1989. their 1992 album Whipped! was also a moderate success. The classic lineup featured singer Taime Downe along with guitarists Greg Steele and Brent Muscat, bassist Eric Stacy and drummer Mark Michals, The band's singles include "Don't Change That Song", "Bathroom Wall", "House of Pain", "Poison Ivy", and "Nonstop to Nowhere". They also did a rockin cover of Carly Simon's "You're So Vain".
