The Metal Box is a weekly web series posted each Friday where we discuss all things hard rock and heavy metal: news, videos, interviews, live concerts and more.

This week, we have a review of the Guns N’ Roses Not in This Lifetime North American Tour Fall leg kickoff in Philadelphia on Oct. 8 at Wells Fargo Center. Watch video above.

Guns N’ Roses formed out of Los Angeles, California in 1985. Their first album Appetite for Destruction is the best-selling debut album in U.S. with sales of 18 million. The album has sold over 30 million copies worldwide. The successful Use Your Illusion albums were released in 1991. After 1994, Rose disappeared from the public eye following the Use Your Illusion Tour. He resurfaced with a new Guns N’ Roses lineup in 2001 and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012 with Guns N’ Roses but declined to attend the event. Last year the original core Guns N’ Roses lineup reunited featuring Acl along with Slash on guitar and Duff McKagan on bass.  A highly anticipated reunion tour took place dubbed the Not in this Lifetime Tour… which has grossed over $300 million so far.
