How many cars became famous after being featured in a movie or TV show? Off the top of my head I can think of the General Lee from The Dukes of Hazzard, the 1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am from Smokey and the Bandit and the Plymouth Fury from the movie Christine. The next famous vehicle just might be the one you own.

You might be too shy to be in a movie but what about your car? According to Syracuse.com, vehicles are needed for the American High film "Miguel Wants to Fight", which is being filmed in the Syracuse area in May and June. You don't need a race car or a vintage classic. In one case the more beat up the better.

This is what they are looking for:

  • 2010-20015 Honda CRV - smaller SUV style car - red or green
  • 2000-2010 old beat up car that will go up on blocks - red or green
  • 2000-2013 all options style cars but red and green preferred colors
  • Send photos and information to MWTFcars@gmail.com

The movie studio would basically be renting your vehicle from you and return it to you when shooting is complete. Filming dates are scheduled from May 23rd through June 24th in the Syracuse area.

American High is an independent movie studio housed in a 100,000 square foot high school-turned-studio in Syracuse. The studio is always looking for fresh faces for upcoming projects. If you want to submit for a casting call you can do that HERE.
